2014

There’s something about the energy and optimism of a New Year, and fresh starts in general, that promote reflection, self-assessment and goal setting. One of my goals for 2013 was to kick-off the re-launch of StyleChile. I’m happy to report that we did it! I’m very excited to bring in 2014 with the launch of this project. The goal was to refresh the old blog, to improve the reader experience, and to focus on topics that align with our readers’ evolving interests—recognizing that your interest in style extends beyond fashion and across other areas of your lives. In addition to the new look, you’ll notice that we’ve broadened the scope of the blog to cover fashion and lifestyle topics; added contributors; and added a shop section.

Our new contributors are remarkable people with fascinating lives, each of whom I call a friend. They include a certified sommelier, an expert event planner, a seasoned intellectual property lawyer, an art + interior design student, a cosmetology professional, a London based travel writer and a self-taught cook, to name a few. They’ll be bringing their expertise to bear in StyleChile’s new categories: Adornment (Fashion + Styling), Enhancement (Beauty), Enlightenment (Fashion News), Embellishment (Décor), Nourishment (Food), Ferment (Intoxicant Elixirs), Movement (Travel), Emergent (Emerging Designers), Infringement (Fashion Law), Entertainment (Event Design + Entertaining) and Accoutrement (Fun Extras). You may view the contributors here.

Please look around and test the functionality. Share your feedback in the comments or contact us section. Here’s to 2014 and to living life, styled. Cheers to new beginnings and welcome to the brand new StyleChile!
